Saves live in the browser’s localStorage, so a player who clears their site data loses their progress, and some browsers block storage inside embedded frames.

But since the average playtime sits between 4hours (active) and 2d (idle), it's nothing you'll have to save longterm. If I continue this prototype, I will offer exporting saves in the very next update.

If you like this sort of stuff, make sure to follow me. And if you want to support me, you may suggest some balance changes in the comments, or wait & donate for the story-RPG that I'd like to full-release.

& If you're a recruiter that could be convinced to hire a Junior dev like me, check out my git for further information and contact info: https://teacodequest.github.io/

To be transparent: This project was vibe-coded during a low-energy week. It was nothing I planned to do. Though I did want to "make an idle game" eventually, since they're my guilty pleasure.

I've attached a game design document & blog as optional downloads so you can see exactly what my brain came up with, and why, and how I playtested the early builds, and how Claude translated it into code.
